In her younger years, Andrea Seefeldt Knight was a Professional Jockey winning 605 races while riding in over 6500. She was the 3rd woman to ride in the Kentucky Derby (1991) the 2nd ever in the Preakness (1994) and the first female to ride in and win the Pennsylvania Derby (1991). Andrea was 1991 Maryland Jockey of the Year and is in the Anne Arundel County Sports Hall of Fame.
Later in life, Andrea turned to Sporting Clays to fill that need for competition. Andrea has trained with Anthony Matarese and competed in Clay Shooting tournaments across the country and around the world, with many accomplishments. 2019 she returned from Ireland as the ICTSF World English Championship, Lady Silver Medal winner. She is a Master Class Shooter, perennial NSCA All American and 5 time MD State Lady Champion.
Andrea is also an NSCA Certified Instructor, with over 2600 hours of coaching and instructing Clay and Wing Shots. A product of A.I.M. Shooting School (Anthony Matarese) as well as AIM Shooting Team member, Resident Instructor at First Mine Run (a private club in Baltimore County, Md) while also previously serving on the board at Loch Raven Skeet & Trap where she re-designed and managed the 5 Stand Sporting Clays and still helps set the targets on both courses.
Andrea’s coaches in the style of Anthony Matarese, passing on what she's learned from him. Clients consist of Novice to Advanced Men, Women and Wing Shooters.
